I just looked so, err, matronly. And Shaun, I almost laughed my tea out of my nose when I read that your dress was previously owned by another family member! So funny!

Richard was reading Roger Scruton and some other guy. I like Scruton but the other one was massive, heavy and looked exceedingly dry. I see my mission on our holidays as being the Frivolous Asides Person, just in case he's tempted to dry up from work.

Beck - who woulda thought! I did not know that about DQ cakes. Good for them. And yes, I'm with you on the lecturing perfect strangers bit. I have to bite my tongue several times a day. Fortunately my daughter is a chip off the old block, and she butts in where I fear to tread. Handy, that.sheilahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11005397694258169964noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5273424096377011014.post-27296868515371300762008-08-18T11:19:00.000-07:002008-08-18T11:19:00.000-07:00We are suddenly BIG DAIRY QUEEN CAKE FANS after re...We are suddenly BIG DAIRY QUEEN CAKE FANS after realizing that we can get them made GLUTEN FREE! Hooray!
I've had to force myself not to lecture COMPLETE STRANGERS about the horrible things they give their babies in bottles. It gets a lotta wear. It is approximately 8 years in my possession. It was previously owned by my step-mother, who bought it on a Hawaiian vacation.

Second, your pictures look great. That raft is very very tempting.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5273424096377011014.post-63224678057027963332008-08-17T06:05:00.000-07:002008-08-17T06:05:00.000-07:00Your husband reads academic books on the beach! And who cares if you were wearing the same dress. Since when do you need to be fashionable at the beach?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5273424096377011014.post-28293775273077214472008-08-16T23:56:00.000-07:002008-08-16T23:56:00.000-07:00Reading about that cake made my mouth water - and ...Reading about that cake made my mouth water - and it's not even vegan!

Yes, those tomatoes are all red, so we can't leave them on the kitchen countertop too long.

The ones in the garden are nowhere near ready. We have apricots and peaches but I can't eat them, thanks to my husband getting me on to this alkaline diet. I will have to preserve some for September when I will once again allow myself fruit.Nicolahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17550530825314280346noreply@blogger.com
