(she says boldy mostly because that will make it oh so much easier - a nice speedy sludge) Makes sense, right?

Yes, do save some of the pumpkin and hide it from children with sharp knives. I made super yummy nutty pumpkin loaves yesterday too because I am rather desperately trying to use up some of the pumpkin still in my freezers from last year's giant pumpkins. What was I thinking?Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01343988569221606506noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5273424096377011014.post-73355849416867014682009-10-01T08:46:39.048-07:002009-10-01T08:46:39.048-07:00I have such a way with words, don't I? I cover cooked pasta with it, or stir in into soups that need a little thickening, smear it on toast, and use it on poached eggs sometimes. It's very versatile.

Restrained curried pumpkin soup sounds fabulous! I'm trying to convince Dominic that we shouldn't carve some of the pumpkins we grew, because they are supposedly good eating pumpkins (Rouge Vif d'Etampes and Luminara).sheilahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11005397694258169964noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5273424096377011014.post-75869567988715798302009-10-01T07:34:56.261-07:002009-10-01T07:34:56.261-07:00I've just copied your method of dealing with t...I've just copied your method of dealing with too many tomaotes and sent it to my inbox with the subject line as Sludge. Last night I was wondering just what I planned to do with the box of overripe tomatoes sitting on my countertop and now I know. What do you do with the sludge, is it for use on pizza and pasta?

I can relate to putting tomatoes in everything, I've been chopping them into anything we're eating. Yesterday for lunch I was trying a curried pumpkin soup with coconut milk and seriously considered chopping a big beefsteak into it...I'm glad I managed to restrain myself. ;-)Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01343988569221606506noreply@blogger.com
