The Universe 'as Been Waitin' For Me!

Note for Canadian Dr Who fans:

If you've been watching this series with the same riveted breathless excitement I have and noticed that the season finale, Journey's End, seemed butchered shorter than any sane person would dream of inflicting on Dr Who fans it should have been, hop over to the CBC site, where you can watch the extra

22 minutes

that was cut.

And while I'm at it, where the heck is Voyage of the Damned? Hmm?

Shame on you, CBC.

No way? Really? Gosh, heads should roll somewhere. That silly CBC. They'd better get their listener base figured out or they'll be going the way of the dodo.

That's terrible! Dr Who, cut off in his prime!

Yuletide greetings to you and your family, Sheila. Hope you have a good one.

It sucks that they edited out 22 minutes of Dr Who BUT it was 22 minutes that featured a lot of Martha Jones, so I can't be that upset. It's totally irrational, I know, but Martha Jones' voice (or rather the actress who portrays her whose name I can not recall) sets me on edge.

It was a great episode. I'm really gonna miss Donna Noble.

You didn't like Martha, eh? I liked her more than I thought I would, especially after seeing Rose again. I liked Rose but she seemed way sulkier this time. Martha is so darn competent. And cute.

I'll miss Donna too. She was so feisty. They need a feisty companion there with the Doctor. I think I might do a good job...

And don't forget that of those 22 minutes, several of them detailed where Jack, Mickey, Sarah Jane, and Martha actually WENT afterwards, plus all those great flashbacks of the Doctor's "family," plus the last minute Rose vs. the Doctor "What did you say to me when you left me here?" harangue. Made that Kiss all the more sensible. When I first saw it I thought "Huh? She kisses the clone Doctor and lets the other one run off without so much as a goodbye? Come on? Bad writing!"

I know, I'm a Dr Who geek. These things actually DO keep me up late, wondering.

Nicola! Happy Yuletide to you too! I want to see that mince pie recipe of yours, now. And I'll keep a few handy in case you drop by, with a little brandy butter just in case...
