Birthdays For Nine Year Olds

Cupcakes. Bubbly mango punch. Chips (or as the fervent fans of Horrid Henry in this house call them: crisps). A very loooong slip and slide (on a steep hill, no less). Lots of truly wonderful friends to share the day. Fabulous hot sunny weather.

Fun. Fun. Fun.

And now they're nine.

Sigh...and I began reading your blog when they were about 7 I think? Time sure flies. Many many happy returns to the young lady and young man.

Thank you Suji! It really does fly, doesn't it. A bittersweet flight.

Wow, I am so impressed! Wow. Those are gorgeous! If I made something that looked like that, I don't think I'd let anyone eat them.

Ha ha ha! I had the same sort of reaction. I think the kids did at first, too. They just stared. No one really believed that they were entirely edible.
