A blog about the lives of a classical homeschooling family, in the idyllic Wet Coast, err, West Coast, of British Columbia. Oh, I know, it doesn't ALWAYS rain...it just seems like it.

Why Certain Aspects...
...of the eco-obsessed movement will never enter our lexicon.
Look at that fireplace. It's a good thing, to quote my friend Martha. A very good thing. Where else can you warm yourself whilst lounging on a giant ball whilst reading?
Just don't look at the UGALEE surround on that fire. Can you say 70's? I'm trying to get Ole Handiman working on this, stat, but he's dragging his feet until I suddenly get rich.
Beautiful! Is it a real fire? I thought so, but then the commentor added quotes to hers... We have what we were told is a working fireplace, but that's where we store the toys. :-) We do, however, love to gather at my mother's for a lovely fire on a Sunday evening... greenest thing in the world to turn down the lights, turn off the TV, and just cuddle with family. Enjoy!

Real fire... nice!! We've also been enjoying evenings by our "fire" reading.
