What Goes On Behind The Scenes

I'm not exactly sure what's he doing, but I liked the way the light fell on the floor at Max's feet and how all the colours in the room mixed together. And how my cluttered, too-small kitchen looks so, err photogenic (instead of cluttered and too-small). And how calm and quiet and pensive my teetering-on-the-cusp-of-puberty son looks. You can't see the dryer with its four day old load of half dry laundry, or the sink with its load of unmentionable dishes, or the kitchen floor with its muddy cat prints skidding across.

Nope, instead it all looks so calm and artistic. I must remember this moment. Cling to it. Like grim death. Don't panic. Women and children first.

Ooo, a look inside the House of Sheila. I love it!

And sad to say, this is the ONLY good angle this kitchen has, Samantha. Sigh.

Richard wants to dig a deeper Debt Pit and make the kitchen bigger ("What's the point of having a big kitchen when the kids are grown up?" he asks). I'm not sure though; part of me thinks we should cling to our raft of Minor Debt. (jeez, what's with all the cheesy metaphors?)

Nothing wrong with cheesy metaphors :-)
That is a hard one. Debt sucks, but a kitchen is usually a place of coming together, and its nice to not be tripping over each other. Plus, you get a good return should you ever sell. Hey, maybe get Mike Holmes in (but then I have to come and live with you ;-)

You can film the Reality Series, Samantha. Just wear that crocheted robe and pretend you're the Lady of the Lake, err, I mean House. Mike would be over here like a shot.
