He wrote the song "What's So Funny About Peace, Love, and Understanding," and he even gives a brief performance of it for Terry with a few tongue-in-cheek remarks thrown in for good measure ("here I was...twenty-two years old and seen it all...but when Elvis Costello cut it, he sounded like he really meant it").
